Grosse Ile Athletic Club (“GIAC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains how we may collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you:

  • Visit the GIAC website;
  • Create or use a member account;
  • Purchase a membership, package, pass, or service;
  • Make a court, class, or other reservation;
  • Register for programs, lessons, clinics, leagues, or events;
  • Contact GIAC;

  • Otherwise interact with GIAC online or offline.

The information we collect depends on how you interact with GIAC.

Full payment card information may be handled directly by the applicable payment processor rather than GIAC.

GIAC does not request that you provide medical information unless it is reasonably relevant to your participation or another legitimate purpose.

Providing information to an instructor or staff member does not create a physician-patient or other healthcare provider relationship with GIAC.

When you visit our website or use online Services, certain information may be collected automatically, including:

8. PERSONAL INFORMATION OF CHILDREN

Our general website is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly solicit personal information online directly from children under 13 without appropriate parental or legal guardian involvement.

GIAC may offer youth memberships, lessons, clinics, camps, programs, or other services involving minors. In those circumstances, information relating to a child may be provided by or with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information directly to us without appropriate parental involvement, please contact GIAC so that we can review the matter and take appropriate action.

12. EMAIL AND TEXT MESSAGE PREFERENCES

You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link provided in the applicable message.

Where GIAC offers promotional text messages, applicable opt-out instructions will be provided.

Even after opting out of promotional communications, GIAC may continue to send communications reasonably necessary to administer your membership, reservations, purchases, account, or other Services.

13. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SOCIAL MEDIA

Our Services may link to third-party websites, applications, social media platforms, maps, booking platforms, payment providers, or other online services.

GIAC does not control the independent privacy practices of those third parties.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of third-party services before providing personal information through them.

14. PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEO

GIAC may take photographs or video in connection with club activities, events, programs, or promotional activities.

Where a person’s permission is legally required for a particular promotional use, GIAC may obtain consent separately.

Acceptance of this Privacy Policy alone does not constitute a blanket authorization for GIAC to use an identifiable individual’s image for promotional purposes.

Any separate photography or media release will be governed by its own terms.

15. DO NOT TRACK AND BROWSER PRIVACY CONTROLS

Because browser-based privacy technologies and legal requirements continue to evolve, GIAC may respond to such signals where required by applicable law or supported by the technologies used on our website.

When we make changes, we will post the revised Privacy Policy and update the effective date.

If a change materially affects how we use previously collected personal information, we will provide any additional notice or obtain any consent required by applicable law.
